KHJ Journalist Randy McKeen is seeking the Liberal nomination for the riding of Fredericton!!!!
My name is Randy McKeen and I am seeking the Liberal nomination for the riding of Fredericton.
You may know me through my work in radio over the past 35 years. if you don’t and even if you do, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions you might have. Simply reply to this email and I will get back to you.
My email is -
mckeen.randy@gmail.com
I am seeking the nomination, by the way, because I am one of the many Canadians who have become disillusioned with the way the level of political discourse in this country has deteriorated. I don’t think our best interests are served by the nasty partisan gamesmanship that seems to have taken over and, if elected, I believe I could be one small part of a movement that advocates putting the interests of all Canadians ahead of those of individual politicians or parties.
By the way, you are getting this email because records show you either are or once were a member of the federal Liberal party. As such I would urge you to attend our nominating meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Apr. 4 at the Fredericton Inn. As far as I know, I will be one of three candidates contesting the nomination and would ask for your support, but encourage you to attend regardless.
There are two things you should know. One is that if you are not currently a member of the federal party, you must renew your membership by Friday, Apr. 1. You will not be able to renew at the meeting. Secondly, if you’re a member of the provincial party, you are not eligible to participate in Monday’s voting unless you are also a member of the federal party.
I have included a link (https://action.liberal.ca/en/membership) that will allow you to either renew your federal membership electronically or join the federal party for the first time. If you would prefer a paper copy of the membership form I can arrange to have one delivered to you.
Thank you for your time and if we don’t speak before then, I look forward to seeing you at the Fredericton Inn April 4.
