The latest model of the E-class was made to present the public appearance on the auspicious day January 10^th, at the North American International Auto Show 2009. The chassis code was named W212. This new car of sedan type vehicle has been on sales in Europe from March, 2009 and expected to be available in the American market from July, 2009. The unveiling ceremony of the car took place in the night before the auto show, where limited people were invited and a few very high quality pictures were distributed in the manner of the official press release.

The new coupe model boasts of novel innovations and technical additions as extra advantages of the new car. The rear seat has been presented in a special package like the rear seat advantage in the S-class.

This wonderful inclusion for the house of Mercedes -Benz is going under production at the assembly line at Sindelfingen, Germany with three types of hot cars being the 4-door sedan, the 5-door station wagon and the 2-door coupe convertible. The W212 comes with front engine and a rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

The engine power consists of 2.1 L Diesel 14, 3.0 Diesel V6, 1.8 L turbocharged 14 and others. Transmission is geared up with 5-speed automatic, 7-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual system. The different wheel base is 112.4 in or 2855 mm for Coupe and 113.1 in or 2873 mm for the Sedan model. About the length of the cars, it is 191.0 in or 4851 mm for Coupe and 191.7 in or 4869 mm for Sedan. 71.7 In or 1821 mm for Coupe and 75.9 in or 1928 mm for Sedan in width. Heights of cars are 57.0 in or 1448 mm for Coupe and 57.6 in or 1928 mm for Sedan.

The BMW Concept X6 ActiveHybrid has been produced on the idea of the original full-hybrid vehicle created by BMW itself, which came to light in September, 2007 at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung Frankfurt in Germany. This was followed by the exposition of the premium mild-hybrid category car BMW Concept 7 Series ActiveHybrid at the Paris Motor Show in October, 2008. They are awaiting their entry into the market sometime in the end of 2009. They are new cars of the modern age that can use electrical mode at lower speeds for rolling.

Opel Flextreme

General Motors presented a diesel plug in hybrid concept in their recent exposition through the Opel Flextreme. The lithium-ion battery supports the car to traverse a distance of 55 kilometers or 34 miles, when the tiny diesel engine initiates the battery charging process. The model is based on the similar ground of technology in Chevrolet Volt.

Honda CR-Z

BMW Concept 7 Series

BMW Concept 7 Series ActiveHybrid was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008. This was the second presentation of the total hybrid concept of BMW, the first one being BMW Concept X6 ActiveHybrid, which was exhibited at the IAA Frankfurt in September 2007. The concept cars are expected to be placed in the production line in 2009 and hit the market.

BMW Concept 7 Series ActiveHybrid has the engine specification of the type of High Precision Injection V8 Twin Turbo unit incorporated in the BMW 750i, which yields 300 kW/407 hp of power. The electric motor gives support to the internal combustion engine system and provides a viable link between transmission and engine to produce 15 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque.

With this gentle and full hybrid arrangement, the electric motor is able to enhance the potential of the eight cylinder petrol engine using Brake Energy Regeneration process. This works to decrease fuel consumption of cars and subsequent carbon dioxide emissions in the environment.

Porsche Cayenne Hybrid

In the year 2002 the German car giant Porsche created a 5 seater sporty look comfort car, known as Porsche Cayenne. This Porsche Cayenne model is very similar with the Volkswagen Touareg. Chrysler 200C, the hybrid idea of a modern car

The 2009 North American International Auto Show, Detroit exposed to the public, the much awaited plug-in hybrid idea of a car, the Chrysler 200C. The sedan comes in rear- wheel drive mode with a combination of gasoline engine with electric motor power. The electric motor power has a range of 400 miles with a 40 mile drive of pure electric driving capacity. It reaches 0-60 mph acceleration within seven seconds approximately.

The concept of Chrysler 200C EV is a forerunner of the company’s expectation of the idea of connect in car computer and communication gadget. This machine has been directly connected to an iPhone, which permits you to program in advance the temperature, locking of the doors, permit you to witness a camera inside the car through remote vision technique (parents can make it useful) and can trace back the car’s position live through GPS, all by the courtesy of the iPhone.
